My Cheese Soufflé
I learned basic techniques in the kitchen by following as many recipes as I could from the chefs I admired. However, I find most of chefs do not give you the clear and easy-to-understand instructions. Perhaps they don’t want to give away their secrets…?? I had to find my way to a dish that works by trying and failing many many times.
Whatever Gordon Ramsay is like on TV shows ( I do mind his language, so I don’t watch his programmes), he is a very generous chef who gives his tips away freely to the public. I learned how to make soufflé dishes, following his recipes thoroughly. The classic cheese soufflé recipe by Ramsay can be found very easily on internet. I also make spinach and goat cheese soufflé and lemon soufflé at times. A couple of times, I created a soufflé evening: cheese soufflé and lemon soufflé for dessert. I don’t recommend to prepare a dinner party with soufflés as you will end up being in the kitchen all the time rather than conversing with friends- unless you sip your wine or champagne the whole time alone while you’re slaved to the oven
